Dear Susan:

I took my first trip with Colleen and Jerico Christian Journeys as a pilgrim to the Holy Land in 1998. It was a tremendous experience, so much so that I asked her to help me set up a pilgrimage that I would lead the following year in 1999. The Holy Land was unsettled after that and then came 9/11, so we did not set up another pilgrimage until 2004. This was the Rome and Italy pilgrimage. What an incredible journey! Not only were we awed by Rome, the Vatican, and papal audience, we visited Padre Pio, St Francis & St Clare in Assisi, St Anthony in Padua, St Mark in Venice, and more. We had excellent hotels, wonderful guides, and great food. I changed parishes in 2005, so we organized a new group of pilgrims for Italy in 2007. Many of those folks had such a great experience that they signed on again when we were finally able to revisit to the Holy Land last October in 2009. No one was disappointed on any of the pilgrimages.

As I am sure happens with many priests, I get both mail and phone requests and/or invitations from some of the big pilgrimage companies to arrange trips through them. I politely inform them that I have a realtionship with a small, local, personal service oriented pilgrimage organizer and I have no reason to change that. Every trip has been excellent, even when there were glitches, and glitches area part of life.

Colleen!

Well we arrived home safely. We are truly pleased, happy and thrilled to have
been part of the pilgrimage that you assisted in us being a part of. Everything
was truly fantastic. The priest, the fellow pilgrims, the tour guides, the
events were just truly awesome. Could say much more, but thought I would let
you know how pleased we were with everything.
